Setting up a VPN for Windows 10 and 11

To set up a VPN in Windows 10 or 11, you need to follow several steps in sequence. If you do not have a VPN server, you can use our list of free VPN servers.

Step 1. Network and Internet

Start -> Settings -> Network & Internet

Step 2. Add a VPN connection

Select VPN. Press Add VPN-connection.

Step 3. VPN settings

Add a VPN, Select VPN type: L2TP/IPsec with certificate, Save VPN settings

Step 4. Connecting to VPN

Select Added VPN, press Connect.
